Console Refurbishment & Condition Tiers

All of our consoles are carefully restored/refurbished and tested before shipping.
As of October 17, 2024 (after 2:00pm EST) we’ve updated our tier system to make console appearance and condition more transparent.

Functional

• Condition: Very used. Exterior shell and faceplates show scruffs, scratches, dings, blemishes, and/or missing paint.

• Screens: Fully working (3D, touch, audio), but may show signs of wear such as bright spots, yellowing, or a few missing pixels (center or corner).

• Lens/Digitizer: May have minor scruffs or dings. If heavily worn, replaced with a new lens/digitizer.

• Faceplates: Original faceplates included, expect heavy wear.

• Cleanliness: Cleaned, but may show some dust, lint, or grime.

• Overall Look: Very used, but fully functional.

Acceptable

• Condition: Similar to Functional, but with brand new third-party faceplates for an ~80% cosmetic improvement.

• Exterior Shell: May still show scruffs, scratches, blemishes, or missing paint.

• Screens: Fully working, but may show bright spots, yellowing, or a few missing pixels.

• Lens/Digitizer: Replaced if heavily worn.

• Cleanliness: Cleaned, but may show some dust, lint, or mild grime.

• Overall Look: Much better appearance thanks to new faceplates, but still “very used” underneath.

Good

• Condition:

  • Brand new faceplates applied

  • New top screen lens/protector

  • New speakers

  • New digitizer

• Exterior Shell: Good overall, but may still have some scruffs, scratches, or blemishes.

• Screens: Fully working, but may show mild wear — 1–2 missing pixels, mild yellowing, or faint bright spots.

• Cleanliness: Cleaned, may show mild dust or grime.

• Overall Look: Well-kept used console with fresh faceplates and replacements for worn parts.

Very Good

• Condition:

  • Brand new faceplates

  • New top screen lens/protector

  • New speakers

  • New digitizer (if scuffed)

• Exterior Shell: Very good condition, only mild cosmetic flaws (small scruffs, light dings, minor blemishes).

• Screens: Fully working and perfect/near-perfect display quality.

• Cleanliness: Cleaned, but may show slight lint or dust.

• Overall Look: Almost new, excellent cosmetic and functional condition.

Near Perfect

• Condition: Restored to the highest standard possible. Any worn part is replaced to achieve a “like new” appearance.

• Exterior Shell: Practically flawless — may have only the faintest signs of handling (tiny scruff or minor blemish).

• Screens: Fully working and visually excellent.

• Cleanliness: Thoroughly cleaned, but may still have a trace of lint or dust.

• Overall Look: Closest to brand-new condition, streamlined for collectors.

Button Functionality 🔘

• Main Buttons (A, B, X, Y, D-Pad, Shoulder Buttons, Analog Stick, Touch Screen): Always excellent.

• Secondary Buttons (3D slider, volume switch, power, start, select, home): May feel slightly different than new, but remain fully functional.
